Our 11-room craftsman-style cooperative house has a Ground floor middle room available. This large 11'4 x 13'9 room on the main floor has curved 9' ceilings, a pair of east facing windows, plus a small south facing window. The room is pre-wired for a phone and shared DSL. It has a closet with shelves and a cloths rod, good sound insulation, and a complete shared bathroom. We are a stable household of 5 adults with one room becoming available. We are one very happy 5 2/3 year old girl, (3 women, 2 men, ages 32, 34, 48, 54, 66). Reasonably quiet house and a VERY pedestrian/bicycle friendly neighborhood. Reasonably quiet house and a VERY pedestrian/bicycle friendly neighborhood. Inside, our home offers a generous amount of common space throughout, a WAY organized kitchen, a comfy living room & spacious dining room, all with lots of sun. Our raised garden beds flourished with vegetables, berries and fruit trees. In the winter, we often light a fire in the wood-burning stove and keep our utility bill lower with our solar electric panels, solar water heater, and hydronic heater systems. We connect by eating two dinners per week together at about 7PM on Mon & Weds & share household chores including weekly grocery shopping, buying primarily organic food (including some fish & chicken). We make decisions at house meetings after diner every few weeks and have a monthly 3 hour work party. Please desire to live in a cooperative but independent community, be willing to share main food staples and participate in a cooking rotation. Please enjoy being around children. Ideally, you are socially & emotionally sensitive w/ GREAT communication skills, progressive & politically active, ecologically centered, arts & activist oriented.
