Description
Please write a few lines about your co-op.
We are a progressive, environmentally conscious, bicycle-friendly cooperatively-run, four-person household, sharing meals, shopping and chores. We strive to create a warm home and strong community within our house.
When did you form? Briefly, what is your co-op history?
We formed seven years ago, when household residents decided to shift toward cooperative living. The house was formed around women bike activists, though we now encompass a broader realm of activism and are open to male housemates.
Do you own or rent your living space?
Rent, with rent control.
Are there any social or environmental causes that unite your co-op?
We are committed to living as socially and environmentally responsibly as possible. As a household, this comes out most in the way we eat (vegetarian/vegan, organic, garden/compost), the way we travel (mostly bike/transit) and the way we clean (non-toxic and clothesline instead of dryer.)
What would you like to gain from this directory project?
Network! We like to make new friends.
