Please write a few lines about your co-op.

We're a limited-equity CONDO, a unique Berkeley form of Cohousing with private ownership of individual units, held as private mortgages by individual lenders. We have a common house, operate by consensus, common garden, private units with their own kitchens, common meals 3x/week.

When did you form? Briefly, what is your co-op history?

We organized in 1992, bought the land in 1994 and moved in, converted to a condo in 1997. Only a few resales since then.

What is the long term vision of your co-op?

We'd love to work more with other communities and our neighbors to break down barriers and extend relationships/service/cooperation wherever we can get it to go.

Do you own or rent your living space?

We own it, and have individual mortgages.
