Our house is an eclectic gathering of characters. You do not have to be African American to live in our house. We represent the theme of our house by doing community outreach to the African American community. We also occasionally host events for student groups. We are located close to the University of California Berkeley. You do not have to be a Berkeley student to live in our coop, but most of the occupants are.

Amenities in our house include a front porch, a beautiful from yard and a grungy backyard, a Rastafarian color scheme on the outside with brown shingles, and a rooftop deck with a full view of the San Francisco bay. Indoors we have 11 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a commercial kitchen, and a formal dining room. We have a fireplace, a guest room, a pool table, a house computer, a big screen television with cable dvd player and vhs, and a piano. The house has beautiful wooden floors and dark wood paneling.

We have fun playing pool after dinner and house gardening and volunteer projects. Afro House boasts an academic populous that can get down for a good time as well. Currently, the house boasts three home brewers with a kegerator. Piano tunes are often heard in our living room and delicious food is usually cooking for dinner.
