We are Addison Court Housing Cooperative (ACHC), a 10-unit nonprofit corporation, a housing cooperative in West Berkeley seeking enthusiastic new member(s) to become part of our community. ACHC is set up especially for people with low/moderate income.
We are a diverse group of people who govern our coop by majority democracy. Monthly meetings, periodic workdays, shared chores, and gardening. Learn. Share. Grow.
We are looking for people who are willing to participate in this owner occupied, owner operated cooperative.
If you are interested, please attend an ACHC open house/orientation meeting either Saturday, January 9th, 2:30 -3:30 pm or Thursday, January 14th, 6:30 - 7:30 pm at:
ACHC, 1135 Addison St., Berkeley, CA 94702.
Applications will be available at the meeting. Fully completed applications will be accepted by USPS only; postmarked no later than Feb. 1st, 2010.
Interviews for selected candidates will take place the week of February 15th, 2010.
ACHC is part of the Northern California Land Trust (NCLT), part of a first-time home buyer program, and under some HUD guidelines. HUD requires you show proof of income. (The application will ask for copies of your 2009 tax return if you have filed and 2010 Y-T-D via pay stubs, self-employment records, bank statements ...)
